Romance of the City Tour    - By appointment    Monday thru Saturday

In 90 minutes you'll discover where to listen to live jazz, blues, and rock music and where to relax in a cool dark piano bar. We'll pass by the perfect place to get an Italian Beef, the signature Chicago sandwich, a delicious deep dish pizza, or a great Chicago hot dog. Some of Chicago's most beautiful and unusual buildings soar above us as we walk along the river. We'll discuss their architectural styles, how they relate to each other, and the history that happened in and around them. We'll explore side streets close to Michigan where few visitors venture down and find Billy Goats, steak and chop houses, Cuban, Mexican, and seafood restaurants plus art galleries, antique stores, cigar stores, and sports bars. Hidden away are great places to sit outside and watch the river traffic cruise by.A great philosopher once said, 'architecure is frozen music'. On this tour, you will see that music is all around you. Romance is all about music, food, mystery, adventure, and beauty. Chicago offers that to everyone if you know where to look.
